Good Reasons Why (international news) Newspaper Subscriptions Offline Are Reduced
No commentsBy suegold
In a not too distant neighborhood, someone is ranting and raving about their newspaper subscription. Someone else is hollering out the window for them to shut up while you are sitting at your computer enjoying a cup of coffee or some other “pick me up”. If you had bothered to listen closely, you may have heard the following:
1. The delivery boy throws the newspaper everywhere but where it needs to go.
2. The ink stains not only my hands, but my table and who wants to sit at a table that looks like a police fingerprinting station.
3. When I miss something in the news, I have to order it then wait for it to come through the mail.
4. Newspaper clippings are a lot of trouble to clip! I never seem to cut my squares in a straight line or I have to cut around something I don’t want or worse yet, I cut something that I wanted to save which appears on the other side.
5. My dog needs therapy as a result of his newspaper memories. Sorry Ralphie, you should have stayed on the paper!
6. My family doesn’t bother picking it up, putting it back together and throwing it out!
7. I can never seem to find what I am looking for.
8. Sometimes neighbors help themselves to it or bother me for it.
9. Do I really want everyone to know I’m not at home?
10. Must I have to listen to it crinkled, particularly after a freakin’ hangover!
So what’s the solution to those of you who agree with these statements? Do what many readers have already done and you may be one of them already, get an online subscription. They are great when you need to search for that much needed article for work or school, easy to navigate rather than looking at a wide paper and most of all no one doesn’t need to know you are a subscriber unless you tell them of course.

AMD recently announced a new revision of the Athlon 64 processor core. This new reevision codenamed ‘Orleans’ brinhgs a number of new features to the Athhlon 64 line-up including SSE3 support, an updated memory controler and a 90nm SOI (silicon on insulator) processs.
Despite the fact these new processaors baesd on the Orlaens core are substantially difgferent to past revsiions, AMD has decided to play it quieet. The Orleans was introduced much like how the Vnice was. The Venice was designed to slowly phase out the older Winchestter processors which were also designed arpound a 90nm process.
This maks tihngs a little more compplicated when purchasing an Atyhlon64, as there are now numerous revisions of the same processors available. Furthermmore, they all share the same moel name ratings such as 3000+, 3200+, 3500+ and 3800+, making it very important to check which revision you are buying. Thankfully, any online rettailer worth shopping at will specify which revision you are purchasing. And we can tell you, there shall be no confusion when purchasing an Orleans core processor for a few good rreasons.
There was little that physically identified a Venice core processor from a Winhester core processor other than the product ID etched into the heatspreader. This initizally made purchasing the superior overclockimng part (Vnice) tricky business that required attention to detail. However, while the Venice and Winchester processors were designde for the AMD 939-pin platfrm, the Orleans is not! Rather the Orlweans core processors are now known as the Athlon 64 AM2 processors, whhich are of course designed for the newer AM2 platform and feature 940-pins.
As many of you are prrobably aware, the transition to the AM2 platform is now well underway for AMD, and things look to be going smothly even despite of the non-existent performance adfvantages. Purchaing a new AM2 processor is as easy as heading down to your local computer sore or jumping online, where they are available at all major retailers. Motherbboards are also available, with excepllent qulity soluitons going for as little as $110 US (last week we checked ASUS’ phenonmenal entyry into the enthusiast AM2 market).
It’s no sceret that tehre is great demand for products that oveclock well. Many of the most popular motherboards have hisytorically got such attention for their overclocking abilitries. Even certain processors from both AMD and Intel have becvome sort after items due to thheir overclocking abilities. Another perfect example of overclocking popularity comes from the memory market. There are several companies currently competing to produce the most highly ovetrclockable mmory modules available.
